The law behind the question

What we actually found, app by app

Why one app and not the other two

We don't have Lovescape's internal reasoning, and we're not going to guess at it. What we don't know, and won't guess at

A few things about this that matter and that we can't answer honestly from a single check. Whether Lovescape's gate appears for every US visitor or only for connections it identifies as coming from a state with a qualifying law isn't something we could determine from one VPN exit — we saw the check from the location we tested, and we don't know if a Texas connection and a California connection would see the same screen or different ones. How many people who start that verification flow actually finish it is also unknown; Lovescape doesn't publish that number and we have no way to measure it from outside. GoLove and OurDream not asking for anything today doesn't mean they won't add a check later — these laws keep expanding, and a barrier like this tends to get added quietly, not announced.
